The State must incorporate three separate measurement plans into its ongoing PIP evaluation process:
- The Strategy Measurement Plan, where the State outlines its goals, primary strategies, action steps, and benchmarks.
- The National Standards Measurement Plan, where the State identifies the safety and permanency national standards and progress toward meeting its improvement goals in these areas.
- The Item-Specific and Quantitative Measurement Plan, where the State enters and reports information for each CFSR item that is to be measured in its PIP.
Each of these measurement plans uses quarterly status reports to facilitate an ongoing dialogue between the State and Children’s Bureau Regional and Central Offices.
